Ring Spacer

Ring Spacer is made from a metal ring in a different type of material, with a welded handle (in a different form). The Spacer function is to allow the passage of the fluid (or gas) in the line through flanges. 

Ring Spacers are usually raised face (RF), flat face (FF) or ring joint (RTJ) type and are mainly defined by ASME standards.

The Ring Spacer is inserted between two flanges (with a Gasket on each side).
