In the Oil & Gas Sector, Ejectors are equipment used for downstream and upstream applications.

Ejectors can be used singly or in stage with the scope of converting pressure energy of vapor, gas or liquid into velocity according the Bernoulli's principle.

Bernoulli's principle states that an increase in the speed of a fluid occurs simultaneously with a decrease in pressure or a decrease in the fluid's potential energy.

La Meccanica Padana has experience mainly in single stage ejector constructed with a nozzle, suction chamber and a diffuser.

In the initial stage the fluid has an high pressure and is accelerated from its initial entrance velocity to a high velocity. In the suction chamber, the actuating fluid lows its pressure-high velocity flow which causes a secondary fluid to be mixed with the first fluid. 

During the mixing process, the nozzle mixes two incoming streams by converting the pressure energy of the high pressure fluid into kinetic energy so the actuating first fluid is retarded and the secondary fluid is accelerated. 

As the mixture enters in the diffuser, which has a venturi shape, the fluid is compressed and consequently increase its pressure decelerating rapidly.

Each ejector is manufactured according customer’s design to comply with their individual requirements to reach maximum efficiency.
